About what is important

On this blog, I mainly present models of military combat vehicles belonging to various armies from different periods of history. The typical purpose of military combat vehicles is to cause destruction, injury and death. Many of the models I present depict vehicles belonging to the armies of criminal regimes, bearing their symbols.

This does not mean that I consider causing destruction, injury and death to be the right way to resolve conflicts. Nor does it mean that I support any of the regimes that have chosen violence, persecution and military force to impose their order and consolidate their power.

When building my models, I follow the principle of reflecting reality as faithfully as possible. This includes the brutal aspects that we would prefer to forget. Not for the sake of shocking people with violence, but to preserve the memory of the terrible events of our past and to warn against repeating the same mistakes in the future.

In this sense, model making can become a valuable history lesson. Because the more research I do for my model projects and the more I learn about the destructive power of the machines I recreate in miniature, the more I appreciate life in peace.

About my recommendations

When describing the model-making process, I often mention specific products or brands that I use. There are many reasons why they are in my workshop and why I mention them, but one of them is not because I have any affiliate links with any manufacturer or distributor.

If I recommend something to you, dear reader and model maker, know that I do so because I consider it to be good.
